Guess what?

I have no strong desire to write about anything of substance today.

So I'll write about myself.

Just so you can know a lot of useless things about me.

La-la-la-love life.

Sometimes I dress like a homeless person.

And other times my hair looks like I don't own a mirror.

Sometimes I'm slightly awkward.

And sometimes it's a wonder I have friends at all.

Sometimes I mess up a bit.

And sometimes I completely fail.

And other times I laugh over nothing.

And sometimes I cry over nothing.

Okay, a lot of times.

But that's okay.

I Am From

This was an 8th grade English assignment that I'll share because I feel like it. You should make one too. :)
Where I'm From

I am from pioneers pushing handcarts through the long, cold winter
Though the journey was hard they never gave up.

I am from the love of my family
Sometimes you can't see it, but it's always there.
I am from new baby sisters and my great-grandma with whom I share my name.

I am from the mountains towering above
From canoes, kayaks, and campfire smoke.
I am from mud and moss and the creek
From reminiscing with family as we roast marshmallows.

I am from my cousins, from croutons and black olives on our fingers.
I am from long, crowded car rides and dinner at Grandma's.

I am from summer
From zucchini bread made with extra chocolate chips.
I am from swingsets and bikes and swimming lessons every day at the Y.
I am from finger-painting with my mom, from sidewalk chalk, jumpropes, and green grass.

I am from crab-apple trees, tulips, raspberry bushes, four o'clocks and cosmos.

I am from Tomato's and Maxie's
From homemade baked potato soup
From birthday cake, breadsticks, and mac'n'cheese.

I am from Kramer and Panda, Treasure and a rabbit with a name too long to say.
From CJ, Speckle, Shamu, Donny, Marie, Amber, Toby, Willow, Miley, Prince and Floss.

I am from Saturday cleaning and lost remotes
From messy rooms and wet paint.

I am from Christmas tree lights, fireworks on the 4th, and a spook house in the basement.

I am from Florida, California, and Oregon
From the sand between my toes.
From crabs and stingrays and fish
From choking on saltwater and liking it.

I am from family that was here the 1st part of my life
Loved ones no longer loved
I am from grief, hurt, and my mother's tears
I am from sadness that makes you stronger.

I am from "when your room's clean" and "take the high road".
I am from "and I took the road less traveled by, and that has made all the difference."

I am from vibrato and shifting and trills
From gavottes and minuets and concertos.
I am from "Nearer, My God, to Thee" and "If You Could Hie to Kolob".
I am from a green hill far away.

I am from "You are My Sunshine" and "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean"
From my mother singing me to sleep and the piano in the living room.

I am from three white dresses
From faith, divine nature, individual worth, choice and accountability, good works, integrity, and virtue.
I am from primary songs and the scriptures.
I am from crying from joy and faith.
I am a daughter of God.

A 1-ton crocodile got captured in the Philippines.

That was what I did my current events homework on today.
But mostly I just couldn't think of a title.

I like being the center of attention sometimes; who doesn't?
But I'm not one to fight for attention.
It seems like in a high school as small as mine is, sometimes, if you want to be someone's friend, you have to, well, fight for their attention. Which is totally wrong and messed up and it's probs just me thinking that way, but whatever. I'm at the point where if I go up to you and say hi, and you write me off, I don't even try anymore. I'm slightly fed up with people pretending to be your friend one day, and the next...not. I'm also done with trying to get people to like me. If they don't already, then that's fine with me. I hate this thing called exclusion. And don't worry, I'm not dealing with that problem on a large scale, but just the little things are driving me insane. Really.

I don't know how to finish this rambling of a post. Sorry if you just wasted 4 minutes of your life reading this.
But have a lovely day. :)

He is just a boy.

Hello.
I have no followers of the male species, so I feel like sharing something with you guyses. Keep a secret, kay?
So there's a boy.
Well, actually, there are many boys where I live, but there's a specific one I'm talking about. Let's call him Chester.
So once upon a time I like Chester. He fit every single quality on my perfect-boy list (cute, mormon, funny, athletic, smart, tall, etc). He can always make me smile. I'm kind of pathetic, actually, how much I like him.
BUT. I am a loser, on account of the fact that whenever I see a gorgeous, perfect boy, I magically turn into a loser. I am so scared of, idk, having my liking them be obvious, that I just stay away. Which is bad, obviously. Before long, Chester is friendos with my friendos, but we still are not good friends. Which does not make sense because we actually have lots in common and a good amount of opportunities to become friendos. But it just doesn't work, because of my horrible loserness, stemming from ... I don't even know why it happens.
I've come to a decision, though
I'm not going to be a loser anymore.
True story.
Chester is just a person, and if I can't even be myself around him, then what's the point of liking guys anyway, right? He's not perfect, in fact, I've seen him behave as a loser on numerous occasions. So ya know what? I'm just gonna get over my loserality and behave as myself, which I should've been doing all along. Okay well that's it, I guess. :)

Sad but True.

I am
clumsy.
I know, it annoys me too.

I don't even mean to, but somehow I always end up tripping, spilling, and generally making a fool of myself. Especially the tripping: at a stake dance, after our choir musical, anwhere. Take today, for example ... So there I was, at a music camp, walking down the stairs of the auditorium after a lovely handbell recital, enjoying myself, when I suddenly trip down one stair. I somehow land really wrong-ly on my foot, and it hurts to move it or put any weight on my left foot for the rest of the day (even still now I can't walk.) Yeah. Being a klutz is dangerous! If you are anything like me, I would suggest staying away from stairs and wearing protective clothing at all times. :/
