Because I get emotional on Sundays.

Or maybe it's because I've been listening to the "I Won't Give Up" station on Pandora. Either way.

I have that feeling. You know, the one that comes at the start of every school year. The one that makes you promise yourself, "This will be my year. This is when I'll be who I want to be."

Lately I've been realizing how much I love people. And how much I don't want the girls in my ward to graduate. And how lucky I am to have met these people.

I"m a completely different person than I was in eighth grade. I'm not too afraid to talk to a boy I find attractive, and I realize my best friends have other friends, too.

Yes, I cried because I ran terribly at the meet on Thursday,  but after the initial shock wore off, I'm okay with my failure because I'm okay with me.

Thank you Madison Fisher for being such a good childhood friend that I still have your home phone number memorized.

Thank you McKayla Geer for taking a picture at a rodeo and showing it to me today because you thought of me.

Thank you Chad Hughes for being such a good guy friend that you make me happy for no reason, and for putting up with my annoying habits.

Thank you Justin Cazeau for always, always doing our secret handshake, whenever we see eachother. And for being the only boy at my birthday parties all growing up, and for letting me be the only girl at yours.

Thank you Kade Martin because you are, in a word, hilarious. And your complexion is impeccable. Oh, also thank you for letting me borrow your tie once.

Thank you Sierra Stucki, because even though we don't hang out, whenever we get put in a room together, we are professional comedians.

Thank you Bailey Whitehead for being my first real 'highschool friend'. I love the way you talk. Sounds wierd, but it's true.

Thank you Aubrie Nield for being my bestest bestest friend. Through elementary school and middle school we weren't always peanut butter and jelly, but I love you so, so much. Even though sometimes I say I hate you.

Thank you Jentrie Stastny for being so reliable. You are the one friend who is always a friend.

Thank you Jordy Widmier for being you. I don't know why, but I like you a lot a lot a lot. And you're gorgeous.

Thank you Kenzie Davis for bearing your testimony that one time, and for being so strong in your trials.

Thank you Caleb McKee for loving the gospel. And showing it.

Thank you Shelby Hamblen for being willing to try things with me. It's much appreciated.

Thank you Ashtynn and Kayla and Lexi for playing Werewolf with me. I love you guys, and we're gonna be besties this year. I know it.

Thank you Sara Farnsworth for being one of my best friends even though we've spent a total of 5 days together.

Thank you Hailey Courtney and Anthony Unger and Morgan Coombs for completing the Nerd Force 4.
'Nuff said.

Thank you Sam Cahoon for being so Samuel-ish. You're the only person I've ever met who is like you.

Thank you Rylee Nelson for being my best friend when I needed one most. I love how we're the friends who could spend 5 years apart and be the exact same. Not that that would ever happen, of course.

Thank you Taylan Beymer and Becca Turner for laughing with me and at me. It means a lot.

Thank you Sky Geren and Linda Linford. You guys inspired me more than anyone else I've ever met, and more than I would have thought possible.

Thank you J.K. Rowling and Suzanne Collins for being genius.

Thank you Shelby Molsee for being one of the kindest people I have ever met. Period.

Thank you Lexi Hill and Sara Harris and all of my other blog friends for making me feel like we're friends, even though I've never even met you.

Thank you Jackie Hunt and Chris Barrott and Dustin Diaz and Paige Smith and Lauren Granata and every other seemingly random civilian who's had a profound impact on my life. I couldn't even begin to list everyone.

And you know what?? I don't even care that most of the people in this post will probably never read this.
